Let’s start off saying I’m not a morning person. Even if I’m up, I’m usually not awake until 11 AM. We’ll blame that on being a Sagittarius. But let me tell you, totally worth it for this session. I met these two at Papago Park in Scottsdale / Phoenix AZ while I was out west traveling. We hiked up the side of the “Hole-in-the-Rock” butte. Cool fact: the red sandstone was formed millions of years ago, and have since eroded creating holes in the rock, hence the name. Early inhabitants of the area used this rock to record time and mark seasons.
This spot is cool because it has two backdrops – one of the city, and the other of desert fields. I enjoyed my morning with these two as we climbed rocks and chatted about their time in Arizona and how it compares to the (very different) climate of Canada. The part that had us laughing was when I said “alright, put your arms behind your backs”… I didn’t realize until I snapped the first picture that they took those instructions VERY literally, “Army style”. We spent a few minutes laughing how they both follow instructions very well. Here are some highlights from this awesome couples session in Arizona:
