North GA Fall Wedding | Tori + Cody

Let me tell you – the rain did not let up this season. October, one of the busiest months for weddings, and mother nature was testing everyone. I’ve got to say though – this couple did not let even one drop of rain dampen their mood. Despite the daunting weather forecast, they were doing nothing but having fun alongside family and friends during their wedding evening!

I was so in love with the colors – the bouquet was so rich and colorful – and both the bride and groom’s details had such personality, from the flamingo socks to the blue butterfly sewn into her dress.

And what an emotional first look with dad. The peaceful rain in the backdrop was actually quite nice for this beautiful moment.

During the ceremony, Cody was all smiles. All the way until Tori was down the aisle. And wow, do those burgundy dresses and navy suits pop nicely against the white backdrop.

Rain is grace; rain is the sky condescending to the earth; without rain, there would be no life.

I won’t lie – this had to be one of the most fun receptions I’ve ever shot. First, let’s start with that cake. This couple told me they loved donuts when we were planning their engagement session, and we incorporated it into a few of the photos. But at their wedding, they did both a donut decorated cake (and it’s gorgeous – see below) and a donut wall! This wedding party was full of pros too – those entrance were hysterical and entertaining. One of the sweetest moments was the dances – full of smiles, tears, and laughs too.

What a reception. Once the party got going after cake time, it went from lots of dancing with glow sticks… to at some point, some mascot suits making their way to the dance floor. Have you ever seen a cow and a chicken on the wedding dance floor? Scroll down, and you will soon to be able to say “yes” to that question.
