Choosing a venue in Georgia

We all know how hard it is to make decisions. Know when you struggle to decide what to have for dinner? If we think that’s difficult sometimes, how in the world do you decide where to organize your one and only special day? Choosing a venue in Georgia can be both fun but overwhelming experiences.

Whether you reside in Georgia or you’re looking into this area as a wedding destination… you’ve come to the right place. I’ve gathered a list of just some of my favorite wedding venues, that might just be your dream place. But before we get into venues to check out, here are a few tips for you in researching and selecting the backdrop of your wedding day.

TIPS TO PREPPING YOU FOR YOUR VENUE SEARCH

  • Think about your backdrop and style – are you wanting mountains and fields? Or maybe a more city vibe? Or maybe it’s the historic charm or eclectic look you’re going for. Writing down ideas on the type of venue is a good starting point and can help narrow things down. Don’t worry if you aren’t set on a background! Having a list of types you’re open to helps.
  • Choose indoor, outdoor or both – always consider your season too when thinking about whether you want an indoor or outdoor wedding. If you’re getting married in the heat of July or the cold months of December and January, finding an indoor venue or one with heater rentals available is probably your best bet.
  • Visit a few places – even though the pictures online may be great, it’s key to seeing the venue in person to get a feel for whether it’s the right fit or not. Tours can help you visualize your day in person, while photos can show examples of how others have done it. Using a combination of both can help in making your decision!
  • Have an idea of your needs and your budget – are you hoping to find a venue that includes all the rentals, furniture and such? Or maybe you want a more DIY approach and are looking for a venue that’s a blank slate. Have these in your mind before your tour so you can ask about what’s included.
