Rachel and Josh had hoped for a perfect fall day when they chose Mountain Laurel Farm to celebrate their wedding. Much to their surprise, the fall foliage arrived, the air was crisp, and the day was absolutely perfect. Their fall ranch wedding felt extra special after having to postpone their wedding from 2020.
The couple both love the outdoors and hiking and knew they wanted a beautiful outdoor setting for their wedding day. With the beautiful mountain backdrop, wide open space, and a few surprise donkeys, Mountain Laurel Farm was the perfect place.
The special details of this wedding really stood out. The gorgeous custom stationery from Lettery Co, and the world map lining inside of Josh’s custom suit were designed to perfection.
A special personal touch from the bride:
“I really love the ring tied to my bouquet. My grandpa gave it to me when I was 13 and since he passed in 2017, I thought it was a great way to incorporate him into the wedding.”
A fun photo to capture: The bridal party’s first look at the bride!
Rachel was stunning in a lace, trumpet silhouette dress from Bella’s Bridal. Josh wore a custom suit by Kriplani’s Hong Kong Tailors. These two were rocking an elegant yet fashionable style.
A surprise on the day was the fall colors in the trees. The beautiful backdrop of burgundy and marigold made for some amazing portraits of the bride and groom.
The couple exchanged a gift of watches with each other.
Personally, I was obsessed with their wedding arch. With an eye-catching triangle, decorated with modern and eclectic floral arrangements, this arch provided such a stunning and unique anchor for their ceremony and wedding portraits.
Rachel’s favorite part of the day:
“My favorite part of the day was getting to see all of the beautiful details put together. I did have a part in picking out many things, but my venue owner blew me away with her decorating skills and the way that she completely got the vision.”
Finding the right venue can be the most difficult part of wedding planning. Luckily Mountain Laurel Farms turned out to be just the right place. The couple knew they wanted something outdoors but had the option of an indoor setting if the weather was an issue. Located in North Georgia, the mountain backdrop, barn, and space for activities checked all their boxes. Cue the ring toss, cornhole, and cozy bonfire!
Advice for couples planning a wedding:
“Put the time in to pick the right vendors. I had the absolute best vendors and it made the wedding day SO easy. I trusted everyone and was able to trust them and not worry about the small things.”
