Wedding day essentials you might overlook

The endless lists from wedding planning – I get it! You’ve probably never realized how many details there were to a wedding until you planned your own. Leading up to the big day, it can get hectic between family/friends coming into town, doing your final meetings with vendors and thinking about the tiny things that snuck right up. But… it’s easy to overlook something! Here are a few wedding day essentials that are easy to overlook, but now you won’t:

WEDDING DAY ESSENTIALS CHECKLIST

  • Comfortable Shoes – With all the dancing and walking around, you may want to have a pair of comfortable shoes for the reception or at least to change into for your send-off.
  • Emergency Kit – This includes items such as bobby pins, safety pins, tissues, needle and thread, hairspray, makeup touch-up kit, stain remover pen, and any other essential items that you may need throughout the day. If you hire a coordinator, sometimes they’ll have one too but it never hurts to have one in your bag or a party member’s bag.
  • Wedding Bands – It’s easy to overlook the wedding rings on the big day. Make sure they’re packed in a safe and secure place. Preferably in a box together in your details box!
  • Charger – In today’s digital age, it’s a good idea to keep a charger for your mobile phone handy. Just in case of any emergencies!
  • Water and Snacks – With all of the excitement and demands of the day, it’s essential to stay hydrated and nourished. Keep a few snacks on hand, such as energy bars and fruit, to keep your energy levels up.
  • Vendor Contact List – keep a complete list of all the vendors involved in your wedding day, with their contact information. This may come in handy in case you need someone to jump in and get in touch with one of them.
  • Wedding Timeline – Always have a copy of the wedding timeline with you, to help keep everyone stay relatively on schedule.
  • Transportation Details – Double-check transportation arrangements, including pick-up times and locations for you two, the wedding party and your guests.
  • Outfit Extras – you never know when something happens and you need to make a quick outfit adjustment. This could be an extra undershirt for your suit attire, or a change in underwear too. Maybe a light jacket if you’re getting married in the winter!
