Minimalist, chic details and historic architecture brought this lovely Foundry at Puritan Mill wedding together for Haley and Mike. The venue, built in 1921, hosts all of the industrial details we love from exposed brick walls to skylights and large window frames that let gorgeous natural light in.
Haley and Mike met in 2015 and started dating after being friends for a couple of years. Their shared love of 90’s TV and traveling sparked their relationship… and after several years together, Mike made it official with a proposal to Haley during a birthday weekend with friends.
Haley and Mike shared from the start how they wanted to do a first look to have a special moment together (and to release some nerves before the ceremony!). The first look was super sweet – in an intimate spot just behind the venue, they were both all smiles when seeing each other dressed up.
A minimal color palette of white and green worked perfectly to highlight the architecture of the venue. The skylights and draping added dramatic details to this modern industrial wedding ceremony. It held such a classic and romantic vibe amongst a modern wedding venue. I love how the florals brought such an elegant touch to every space and moment at the wedding.
The reception space was absolutely gorgeous. Very bright and airy, and continued the elegance of the wedding day vibe. In particular, the sweetheart table was tucked in the corner between the big windows and incorporated tons of the florals. What a romantic space for this sweet couple!
This couple had a small cake for cutting, but the rest of the spread was all Nothing Bundt Cakes! A fan favorite. These treats were perfect for a quick grab and bite of something sweet for guests, with flavors ranging from red velvet to chocolate and vanilla.
The dance floor was a highlight of the evening. Both friends and family were tearing up the floor, especially once the glow sticks came out. This incorporated tons of fun music too – from 90s dance music to 2000s rock (the best!!). After everyone got their moves out, we sent this couple off with a festive bubble exit to their rental school bus as they headed to the after-party.
Congrats to Haley and Mike! As an Atlanta wedding photographer, I love capturing couples in unique, historic places like the Foundry at Puritan Mill. Head over to the blog to see more Atlanta weddings.
